Andy, ITGuy: Is Telecommuting safe?
One more aspect is the 80:20 rule. Does all processes in work environment come under security issue? I feel it is 20 percent call for very tight security as well as sensetive department. The poll indicates that most don't trust it at all. The trade off can also be on functional areas of an organisation.

Satish, I agree that not all systems or processes in the office are secure, but at least they are (in theory) under my control. I have much less control of what goes on outside of my network and environment. My goal was to present a case for secure remote access not over all security.
